At Café Bautier we choose only the best seasonal ingredients. We take good care not to waste any food, making everything in house (from bread to cookies and seasoning's), starting from the raw, unprepared ingredients. Yet, we are often left with some sourdough focaccia at the end of the day. We have searched for ways to make these leftovers last and croutons came up as an ideal solution. After a second baking in the oven they become crispy and can last for weeks, if not months. Before baking, we add a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of oregano, thyme, salt and pepper to make them extra savoury. The croutons are now available to go in 200g sachet. Adding a tasty crunch to soup and salads, or to eat straight out of the bag.
