Brussels by Locals

Brussels is a city brimming with enchanting, curious, vibrant and tasty places to discover. 'Brussels by Locals' intends to inform and inspire both visitors and inhabitants, based on the input from more than 70 creative minds who live and work in the city.

'Brussels by Locals' guidebook came together after Marina Bautier, designer and founder of the eponymous brand, received the building permit approval for a new project: the construction of two apartments on the roof of the store building, accommodation for short-term stays. Marina wanted to provide future guests with tips from locals, in particular creatives she knew from the cultural sector and the food scene, insider advice that would welcome visitors to the city. All recommendations in this guide offer individual and genuine views on one of the most diverse capitals of Europe.

About Bautier

Belgian furniture company Bautier offers a coherent collection of well-crafted products. It was founded in 2013 when designer and entrepreneur, Marina Bautier, decided to set up her own furniture brand; a collection which has since developed into a range of various objects: furniture, accessories, home textiles and tableware.

Shipping

Orders are processed from Tuesday to Saturday and deliveries take place during standard business hours, Monday to Friday. We always do our best to notify you if there are any unexpected delays. Please do get in touch if you need your order to be processed urgently.

All of our shipping methods have tracking details, either sent with the Belgian Post, UPS, or our own transport for larger pieces. Once your order has been shipped, you will be emailed a tracking number so that you can follow your parcel. All packages are required to be signed for upon delivery. If you are not home, a card will be left in your letterbox.

International

Please only supply us with a physical shipping address as we cannot ship internationally to a PO Box. If you have any questions regarding international shipping, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please note that if your item is held for custom clearance procedures, there may be delays beyond original delivery estimates.

Customs charges on international orders

For deliveries outside a European Member State, depending on the destination you may have to pay additional taxes or import duties. Bautier will not be held responsible for any additional taxes or duties incurred by your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; contact your local customs office for more information.

Returns

Under regulation of the Belgian law on trade and the information and protection of consumers of April 6 2010, you are able to cancel your order any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. If you wish to cancel your order you must do so in writing by email at info@bautier.com.

If you request a refund, we will refund the amount you paid for your goods excluding the original delivery and the charge for returning the goods (unless they are faulty or damaged). The delivery charge is non-refundable. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they return to us and this causes the damage or deterioration of the products, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

Any products returned should be unused and in their original packaging. Therefore, please check your goods thoroughly to ensure you are satisfied before disposing of your packaging.
