Guest Bed

The Guest Bed is a convertible day bed entirely made of solid oak. Its sliding frame allows it to go from a single 90cm daybed to a 160cm double bed, making it a functional piece for a study, an extra space or any multifunctional rooms. Once the frame is open, the top mattress is turned over to sit next to the bottom mattress.

About Bautier

Belgian furniture company Bautier offers a coherent collection of well-crafted products. It was founded in 2013 when designer and entrepreneur, Marina Bautier, decided to set up her own furniture brand; a collection which has since developed into a range of various objects: furniture, accessories, home textiles and tableware.

The design always merges a functionalist approach with a deep understanding of materials and proportions, resulting in simple and essential pieces, long-lasting in every aspect.

The furniture is produced in the northwest corner of Germany by talented craftsmen, trained in making solid and refined products. Bautier not only aspires to create durable objects, durability is fundamental and included in every reflection made regarding choice of materials, manufacturing, suppliers and collaborators.

Bautier is based in Brussels, in a building renovated with a vision of a multi-functional house serving the different facets of the brand. One part of the building comprises the store, offering Bautier products as well as a curated selection of books and home accessories, and the café corner, serving home-cooked meals and refreshments throughout the day. The other part of the building functions as a creative space with Marina’s personal design studio and workshop.

Bautier items are sold exclusively in the store and from the website.

How to order

Bautier products are exclusively available from this website and our store in Brussels.

Brussels store

Our store at 314 Chaussée de Forest, 1190 Brussels is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Most items are on display and directly available. For large furniture pieces, a delivery might have to be organised.

Order Furniture online

We deliver most items worldwide. Please fill in the quote request available on the product pages on this website. We will then get back to you with a shipping quote and estimated delivery date. Your order will be confirmed once we receive your payment, which can be done by bank transfer or credit card.

Order Accessoires online

Accessoires can be ordered directly from this website by adding the items to the cart and proceed to checkout.

Leadtimes

Most items are held on stock (unless indicated otherwise on product page) and can be delivered without delay. Upholstery is made to order on a 4 weeks lead time.

Shipping

Orders are processed from Tuesday to Saturday and deliveries take place during standard business hours, Monday to Friday. We always do our best to notify you if there are any unexpected delays. Please do get in touch if you need your order to be processed urgently.

All of our shipping methods have tracking details, either sent with the Belgian Post, UPS, or our own transport for larger pieces. Once your order has been shipped, you will be emailed a tracking number so that you can follow your parcel. All packages are required to be signed for upon delivery. If you are not home, a card will be left in your letterbox.

International

Please only supply us with a physical shipping address as we cannot ship internationally to a PO Box. If you have any questions regarding international shipping, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please note that if your item is held for custom clearance procedures, there may be delays beyond original delivery estimates.

Customs charges on international orders

For deliveries outside a European Member State, depending on the destination you may have to pay additional taxes or import duties. Bautier will not be held responsible for any additional taxes or duties incurred by your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; contact your local customs office for more information.

Returns

Under regulation of the Belgian law on trade and the information and protection of consumers of April 6 2010, you are able to cancel your order any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. If you wish to cancel your order you must do so in writing by email at info@bautier.com.

If you request a refund, we will refund the amount you paid for your goods excluding the original delivery and the charge for returning the goods (unless they are faulty or damaged). The delivery charge is non-refundable. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they return to us and this causes the damage or deterioration of the products, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

Any products returned should be unused and in their original packaging. Therefore, please check your goods thoroughly to ensure you are satisfied before disposing of your packaging.
