Greek food writer, Anastasia Miari, embarked on a year long odyssey across Greece to cook with the nation's grandmothers. Inspired by her own yiayia, featured in the book, Anastasia cooked with each yiayia and noted their recipes and stories. These are now presented in the book with beautiful portraits and location photography taken all over Greece on her travels. Chapters are split into Sharing, Comforting, Feasting and Treating, with heartwarming stories from each yiayia. Along with these recipes collated on her travels, Anastasia also includes dishes from some of her favourite Greeks working in food, including chefs, producers and friends, with a special dedication to their own yiayia.
