Bote & Sutto

Bote & Sutto

.

‘In 2016, designer Naoto Fukasawa was invited to Mashiko village, Japan, to rethink or rather restart the thinking of Hamada which had become less noticeable with time. Fukasawa helped the Mashiko craftsmen get back on track, to all work with the same mindset and aesthetics, and he brought in guidelines to develop a new iconic range of tableware, Bote & Sutto. The range includes 36 different types of bowls, standard and simple, still entirely made from Mashiko soil and glaze in just two colours, black and white.’

A selection of the range is available to order online and from our store in Brussels. Note that every piece is made by hand and may vary in colour and size from the images and description. Read more about the collection on our Journal
