Tweed Emphasize Scarf

Tweed Emphasize Scarf

.

Mourne Textiles is a family-run hand-weaving studio established in 1947 in the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland. The rich colours and textures in the Mourne landscape have been a source of inspiration for their fabrics for over sixty years. A beautiful perpetuated craftsmanship.

The Tweed Emphasize fabric was designed by Gerd Hay-Edie and made famous by Irish fashion designer Sybil Connolly as part of her 1956 Spring collection. Using 'wild' spun yarn from Donegal which produces a highly textured, dappled appearance, each woven scarf is completely unique, durable and rich in heritage.
